We booked this as a week end away during the May bank holiday weekend. After getting directions e-mailed to me by Discover Ireland they werent exactly correct annoying when you have three irate children in the car. We were met by the overseer Alex who was very friendly. The house was not what we expected. The curtains were falling off the rails, the carpets were dirty. The light bulb in the hall at the top of the stairs was gone. Some of the bulbs in the rooms were gone. The heating didnt work in two of the bedrooms. The showers had only drops of water coming out of them. There was no guide as to how to use anything in the house. Usually they have a booklet which indicates how things work and where to find things within the town just lucky we didnt need a doctor in a hurry! Overall I wouldnt go back having said that Kenmare is a fantastic town and the people very friendly a little overpriced compared with the rest of Ireland!! more
