Have just read some previous reviews. Could this be the same establishment, same owners? I came off the street to enquire availability for a room for myself. I was greeted by a gentleman, he just oooozed personality. So very very friendly that I could not go away. He was infectious. As only dble room availible I did not hesitate to... more

One of the top B&Bs I've stayed in. We dropped in unannounced and owner was most welcoming, with a big smile and good sense of humour. House is spotless and rooms are average size but in great condition and very clean. We didn't have chance to sample breakfast but I imagine it would be good. Location is just 3 mins... more

My husband and I walked into Willow Lodge without a reservation and were accommodated beautifully. My husband enjoyed the breakfasts more than any in Ireland. Greta and Paul were friendly and helpful. While we were there Greta had even dried some wet clothes for bikers without being asked. We would come back. more

The Willow Lodge is located on a side street in Kenmare. The double room was plenty large enough for my husband and myself. The bathroom was large with plenty of shower water. There was only bottle soap available. Gretta served full irish breakfast and was accommodating to my french toast request. The cost of the B&B was a bit more... more

We have just returned from our first holiday in Ireland, Willow Lodge B & B was just fanastic. The hosts Gretta and Paul (Gretta 2) were so funny we had a great time staying at Willow Lodge and will be back. The breakfast was so filling and we had a choice of time which was excellent because we like late... more

My husband and I were traveling around Ireland for a week in March and ran into some bad luck with a previously booked B&B. At 8pm, we found ourselves looking for a B&B to stay in that night and phoned up Willow Lodge. We couldn't have been more lucky... The owners Gretta and her husband (I'm sorry, I've forgotten the... more

Like the last reviewer we had a good experience of this B&B. Friendly folks run the place, great help planning trips and a reasonable price. Easy location for walking into town. Matched their website which i looked up afterwards. recommend it to anyone.Stayed here before (on business again) in 2007. Same then. Will return. more

I read the negative reviews of Willow Lodge and wonder if we all stayed at the same place? My mother and I stayed for 2 nights at Willow Lodge in September of 2007. Our room was comfortable and attractive, and our hosts were friendly and welcoming. We were given several suggestions about possible activities in the Kenmare area -- including... more

The house itself is ok, odd decoration with many many colors, but the hostess running the house is most unpleasant. There was a lot of traffic in the town and we arrive a few minutes later than we had forecast. She was most disagreeable. She made recommendations for a very boring restaurant in town. In the morning we were woken... more

Stayed there on 28th July 2007. Terrible experience. Wouldn't recommend anyone to stay there eventhough its a beautiful B&B. From the beginning, the B&B ladies approach was unfriendly, very very fussy and regimented. The cars had to be parked a certain way in the drive way, she was moan, moan moan that she had to go to Mass Saturday night so... more
