Helen our hostess was welcoming, efficient, helpful. Comfortable safe walk to city center, at night although well lit an extra light is advised. Our room overlooking a busy road was a little noisy (traffic) and we woild have liked internet access, The Breakfast room/lounge has a lovely view of the local Golf Club and is warm and welcoming. more

Helen is the perfect hostess; she's there when you need her. She was also very helpful in providing information on places to visit. We were very comfortable the three nights we stayed. The breakfast was wonderful; eggs cooked to perfection and delicious home baked brown bread. I would recommend this B&B to anyone. more

We came to Kenmare without overnight reservations, and found the Oldchurch House B&B through a recommendation. Could not have been more pleased. Our room was immaculate and looked out on the ruins of the "Old Church" across the road. There was road construction nearby, but all was quiet at night. In the morning - a fabulous breakfast. We would not... more

My high school friend and I were traveling through Ireland to celebrate our 50th birthdays and had a wonderful 4-night stay at Oldchurch House. Helen welcomed us and made us feel right at home! We used it as our base to explore the Dingle Peninsula, Ring of Kerry, Killarney National Park and the town of Kenmare. The B and B... more

The B&B is easy to find on a main road, although it is not really within walking distance of the town after you have been touring all day. The room was very clean, albeit smaller than other B&B’s we visited. There was a very small non-cable TV in the corner of the room. The breakfast was adequate, but not as... more

My husband and I stayed at the Oldchurch House B&B, in Kenmare, Co. Kerry, in October. We had been driving all day sight seeing and arrived late and worn out. Helen McGonigle was there to greet us with a friendly smile and warm home. Our room was comfortable, clean, and quiet. Directly across the street from our room you can... more

Just returned from two weeks in Ireland, staying ten nights at Oldchurch House. This B & B was perfect for us being located on the outskirts of Kenmare (15 minutes walk). The house is a beautiful family home, absolutely pristine with huge rooms and an amazing view across the golf course to the mountains from the dining room/guest's lounge. The... more

We stayed here for two nights while seeing Kenmare and the Beara. The house is impeccably clean and the rooms spacious and a great value. The McGonigles were extremely friendly yet allowed plenty of privacy. In addition, when we had an issue with our tire (thanks to the narrow roads of the Ring of Kerry), they directed us to a... more

Oldchurch House B&B is a good location from which to explore the Ring of Kerry. Even though it was dark by the time my sister and I reached Kenmare, this was one of the few B&Bs we actually found without getting lost for an hour. Hostess Helen McGonigle typifies Irish hospitality and has a lovely home with a beautiful garden.... more

We ended our daylong tour of the Ring of Kerry at the Oldchurch House B&B in Kenmare. The house is easy to find and conveniently located, just on the outskirts of town. Our hostess welcomed us warmly and showed us to our room, which was spacious indeed. It was easily double the size of some other B&Bs we stayed in,... more
