Although Alpine Guesthouse was recommended in a guidebook, we were not terribly impressed. The room was musty and furnishings were old. The housekeeper aired out the rooms while the guests were gone for the day, but it was jarring to come back and find the room wide open with no one around. (We would have taken all electronics and valuables... More

Came recommended to us. Had high hopes. Loved dingle. The alpine guesthouse was very convenient located to the center of town but not a great place to stay. It was very cold outside and there was no heat in the room. We froze! Thin towels, no amenities in the bath. Nice size room though. Just disappointed that it was so... More

We stayed two nights at he Alpine Guest House and enjoyed every minute of it. Our room was nice, a view over the Dingle Bay, bed was comfy, and the bathroom was great. Paul and Caroline were very friendly and helpful, pointing out restaurants, shops and places to see on the 'Dingle Drive'. The location was perfect, two minutes to... More

My girlfriend and I spent our two nights in Dingle at the Alpine Guest House and they stay was exactly what we were looking for. A two minute walk from the main street, our room had a nice view of beautiful Dingle Harbor and its surrounding mountains, even the old stone tower on a hill above the Harbor. The rooms... More

We were finally planning to spend 3 nights in one place for the first time during our 2 weeks trip in Ireland and Alpine Guesthouse turned out to the be exactly what we were looking for. Nice room, good breakfast (although that has been pretty standard in Ireland), friendly staff. Good views across the road to the bay were a... More

Dingle is an awesome town to visit. It is very quaint. The Alpine Guesthouse is pretty basic, but clean and comfortable. The bed was especially comfortable. The view from our room was great. Breakfast was in a cute little room and very generous. I thought this bed and breakfast was great for the price. I would definitely stay there again... More

We stayed for 2 nights in July 2012. My extended family piled into the Alpine Guesthouse, exhausted, after a long flight from the US and a drive from Shannon Airport. All the rooms were ready and very clean when we arrived, and Caroline was kind in helping us get settled in multiple rooms. While the inn is in a quiet... More

Nicely located close to town with a short walk to restaurants, bars, a good sized grocery store, and with the Dingle Way close by. Short walk to wonderful views of the Dingle Harbour. Caroline and her staff were very accommodating and attentive. Great breakfast. Dingle is a neat town with a lot of activity.

I have travled to Ireland many times and I always make a point to spend several days in Dingle each trip. I discovered The Alpine Guesthouse by accident on one trip and now I wouldn't stay any place else in Dingle. It is true that they do not have a lift (elevator) and it is true that the rooms are... Stayed here during Dingle Walking Festival. Host & Hostess were very friendly and very accommodating. Room was very comfortable & breakfast was good. Overall it was great value and as good as as any hotel. Located just a few minutes from town centre there is good parking but no need to take car into town. Had booked for three nights... More
