We had been quite taken with the house and setting on the website and were not dissapointed on first impressions . The house, an early Nineteenth Century Georgian Country house, would not be out of place with a Blue Book listing, and a good example at that. We will not forget the informal but excellent service afforded us ; It... more

So often inns with stunning web sites disappoint upon arrival, but such is not the case with Ballintaggart House on the edge of Dingletown. We were charmed from the moment we arrived until the momen we left, by the setting -- straight across from the turf track that hosts the running of the Dingle Derby, which just HAPPENED to be... more

We really enjoyed staying here, the house has great character and the rooms have retained their proportions and plasterwork. The food was great; after a disastrous experience at a hotel in the UK, we had local produce prepared and cooked with care and expertise. John was a great host and we enjoyed his company. It falls in with the best... more

Stayed here in August '09, what a house. Myself and my wife came across it while looking for somewhere to stay on trip to Dingle. The house is a 200 year old country house. All the bedrooms are huge and beautifully decorated. We stayed 2 nights and ate in the house the first night. The dinner was magnificent (as was... more

We had a reunion in Ballintaggart, travelling from all over Ireland. Our host supplied dinner on our first night. It was absolutely beautiful, fresh crab, smoked salmon, smoked mackerel, John Dory, salmon and monkfish. Our host and his mother were very welcoming. The bedrooms are huge, lovely comfortable beds. Everything is new and fresh. Breafast on both mornings was lovely.... more

I love this place. At first I thought it looked a bit strange when driving up to this old manor. It looks like an old building from the road. But once your inside the door its beautifully decorated. The bed rooms were beautiful and in keeping with the old world charm of this accommodation. The host said it was recently... more

Amazing location, rooms are to a very high standard and beautifully decorated. Enjoyed every aspect of our stay. Our host John Cluskey gave us a great warm welcome and was more than happy to help us on any questions we had. Will definatly be returning to this great place and telling all our friends how much we enjoyed our stay... more

I stayed here for 3 nights in August, and my partner and I couldn't fault the place: the hospitality was amazing from start to finish; the house was stylish and luxuriously furnished - our bedroom had a lovely free standing bath; most importantly however, the breakfasts really were to die for. The surrounding area was great and had much to... more
