Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Home from home in Dingle - if only our home was as well appointed as here. Impeccable is one of the superlatives that comes to mind. Hospitality of the highest order and breakfast lived up to the high expectation that word of mouth had convinced us to add a stop at Castlewood House to our recent tour of Kerry.

Helen and Brian make you feel like you are "home" while simultaneously providing the comfort and amenities of a five star hotel. Their hospitality simply can't be beat and their breakfasts are to die for! Also, its location, is ideal. It's just outside of town -- an easy walk -- so it's nice and quiet in the night.

What a wow experience it is staying in Castlewood House. From the moment we entered, we felt we were being welcomed by Brian and Helen into their home. The reception rooms are gorgeous and the bedroom was just amazing, spotlessly clean and super-luxurious. The breakfast menu was vast and delicious, and the staff so friendly. We had stayed the previous night in one of Killarney's 5-star hotels, but would rate Castlewood House well above it. We will definitely be back!

This past Oct 2023 my husband and I rented a car and circumnavigated Ireland. We spent 2 nights at the Castlewood House in Dingle which turned out to be the highlight of our trip. Brian and Helen were wonderful hosts and provided us with excellent information about our drive around the Dingle Peninsula, along with suggested photo stops. They also gave us tips on local restaurants. We had a large, elegant room which was beautifully decorated and enjoyed a view of the harbor. A scrumptious breakfast was served each morning along with afternoon tea. The staff were very warm and friendly. We would love to return and stay longer next time.

Castlewood is that rare and delightful entity, a gorgeous atmosphere married to the best dining and hosting experience ever to be found. Brian And Helen have created an oasis of comfort and aesthetic beauty that is incomparable.I spent a week at Castlewood this past November and left rejuvenated and restored. The staff is wonderfully welcoming and the dining experience beyond description. This is a gem in all respects. I'm already planning my next sojourn!

I’ve been staying at Castlewood since it opened and have never been disappointed. I wouldn’t dream of staying anywhere else in the Dingle area. Rooms are warm and comfortable, it’s easy to get out of bed in the morning because you know the breakfast that is waiting. They also seem to be able to find the very best staff.

This was a wonderful break pre the Christmas rush! The guest house was more like a boutique hotel than bed & breakfast. We were made to feel so welcome and the breakfast was all that was promised. My husband is a Coeliac and my goodness do they cater fuss free for this, separate menu so no having to ask if food was gluten free. Brian & Helen were absolutely wonderful hosts who took a genuine interest in their guests and wanted nothing more than for us to enjoy our stay in Dingle. I could not rate them highly enough!!
