How I wish I had read skiingtoots' review before booking this accommodation- sounds as if we had the same house although I think the problems extend to all of the units.
The house was dirty when we arrived, the house looks as if it was fitted out by an amateur in their spare time- tiles cracked, creaking floors etc. I swept the floor when we arrived (great start to a holiday) and lost count of the dead insects recovered (also 2 toenail clippings-- yuk)
There is an oil burning stove for heating which absolutely stinks the house out ( I was too much of a coward to complain about the dirt but did voice concerns about this and it was adjusted that day- slightly less smelly after that)
The beds were not very comfortable, the kitchen equipment was almost unusable- eg the flimsiest potato masher I've ever encountered!!
Really, it feels as if these houses were added on as a quick money spinner and that the B&B is where the owners hearts are. We had very little contact...
