I was really surprised to read the reviews of this hotel after our lovely stay there last weekend. The bar and restaurant were both lovely and breakfast was delicious. The rooms were grand, just what we needed and the price was the best of all. Have to say can't think of much to fault. more

Really grotty and smelly. I think they try to mask the smell of must and smoke with strong air freshiners. You can feel you shoes stick to the carpets as you walk. Room was horrible. We stayed at the Island view for 2 nights. There is not island view from the rooms, by the way. We found this place in desperate need of remodeling. Just returned from 10 days in Ireland, most of which we were based in the lovely village of Malahide north of Dublin. We stayed for three miserable nights at the Island View Hotel.
