I have been traveling to Ireland regularly for the past thirteen years, and Gort-na-Nain is hands down the best place I have stayed in that time. Ultan and Lucy are the perfect hosts, providing not only splendid accommodations and food, but also a warm atmosphere and lively conversation. My husband and I traveled out of our way to stay here,... More

Stayed for 2 nights in September, hosts welcoming and good craic, house lovely warm clean and comfortable, Our crying baby didn't bother our hosts (we were only guests at the time) Lucys breakfasts and breads were great, Ultans dinner just as good, only downside bit expensive, (€230 for 2 nights b&b with 3 course dinner including booze), overall highly recommended More

The food at Gort na Nain is grown organically on the farm. Needless to say the quality and flavour is second to none. I'm not a vegetarian, but didn't even miss meat in any of the two outstanding meals. The rooms are lively and big with ensuite each and a view of the sea. The silence when you wake in... More

My 11 year old daughter and I visited for one night with dinner and breakfast included. The location is perfect if you really want to escape, between Carrigaline and Kinsale, in rolling countryside. Lucy and Ultan, the owners welcomed us and showed us to our room, which was spacious, spotless and perfectly equipped with en-suite and an amazing view of... More

Gort na Nain is a vegetarian hideaway. Lucy and Ultan have their own organic farm and vegetarian bed and breakfast which they run with love. You can also have an evening meal which they cook and eat with guests; and much of the food at dinner and breakfast comes from their land . As well as a bedroom, there is... More

Hard to add much with all the good things said by everyone here! Our stay of 2 nights including one fabulous dinner was an absolute treat, being vegetarians it was our idea of heaven. The most delicious food we ever had in Ireland - I made a pig of myself on the kale dish which Ultan so kindly remembered that... More

We stayed here for one night on a driving tour around Ireland and wished we could have stayed longer. Idyllic, peaceful location, removed from the outside world. We are vegans and Ultan and Lucy accommodated us for both dinner and breakfast with creative and delicious dishes. This was the best vegan food we found in Ireland. Ultan and Lucy are... More

Ultan and Lucy served a wonderful selection of dishes during our five day stay (and we are not easy to please). They were able to accommodate specific needs and were unfailingly helpful, knowledgable and skilled both as hosts and as chefs. We shall certainly return and have no hestitation in recommdating Gort na Nain to others. More

Everything from start to finish in Gort na Nain was perfect. The atmosphere was relaxed and comfotable. I have been eating vegetarian food for 20 years and nothing compared to the variety and experitise of the food and hospitality in this special guesthouse. You don't even have to be a vegetarian to enjoy the magnificent food which you would be... More

This is a great place to get away from the hustle and bustle of city and towny life! The food was gorgeous- tasty, adventurous and prepared with loving care. Ultan and Lucy are interested and interesting hosts who share their beautiful home and expertise freely. Would definitely recommend a stay here More
