The Blue Haven is a considered a Boutique hotel in kinsale but it is quite luxurious and comfortable rather than stark and modern. The staff however make it quite special - we arrived with 3 small children after a 3 hour drive having stayed in a horse drawn caravan for 4 days (i.e. not looking our best) and were welcomed... more

My family and I checked in to the Blue Haven for one night but wish we could have stayed longer. The staff was beyond nice and gracious which was very welcoming after our long day of driving. All of our rooms (3 in all) were superb with comfortable beds, high quality linens and fluffy pillows. A small box of chocolates... more

Just returned from a short break in Ireland - stayed at the Blue Haven in Kinsale. Typical - spent months meticulously planning this trip for my partner's birthday - I then contracted gastroenteritis at the beginning of our trip (in England I hasten to add) and then spent most of the break on the floor of the fab bathroom of... more

We stayed here during our honeymoon, and it was okay. Cute hotel in a great location, but small. The room was cute, but a bit cramped, as was the bathroom. The hotel was very clean, and the staff was very nice. The breakfast was great, and the restaurant/bar was lovely. We had a great dinner and I could see the... more

Well, the town's small and we should have found this easily but we didn't. The room was tiny, over-filled with furniture but with a stunning resort-style bathroom. If you have any flexibility problems, like a bad hip, knee or back, you won't be able to get into the tub/shower, as it's really high to swing your leg over. The view... more

We had travelled around Ireland and can honestly say this was our favourite hotel. It is set in the heart of Kinsale and is a real meeting place for locals as well as visitors to the town, this give the hotel a wonderful atmosphere. The staff are very professional, helpful and can't do enough for you. Food is good, we... more

Stayed in the Blue Haven for 1 night. Had booked two rooms....a superior double and one single. Superior room was good.... as one would expect for the price, however the single room left a lot to be desired. It was a long corridor type room, very dark and stiflingly hot with NO air conditioning. My friend complained about heat but... more

Nice boutique hotel in Kinsale. Respectable rooms and bathroom. Breakfast is included with your stay. Wireless internet service is a plus. First floor is made up of several nice restaurants and bars. A good place to stay if you don't mind splurging a little. more

We stayed in June and the hotel was not nearly as nice as I expected. I din't find anything special about it at all. Our room was a little worn and unfortunately faced the street where the party goes on until after 4am. There is no elevator so be prepared to schlep your bags up the stairs. It is in... more
