Wow! How lovely is the Old Bank House. We had a fantastic view of Kinsale Harbour and main street. Marguerite and her staff were absolutely delightful and welcoming. Love the pillow menu! We ordered the feather pillows for a great night's sleep. Breakfast was the best we've ever had, lots to choose from - and yes, as much fresh coffee... more

I saw on their website that if you stay midweek in October it was only 100euro per night. This was part of their off season deal so I went for it since a few of the B&Bs were close to that price anyway. Their location is excellent although I must admit we drove right past it coming into Kinsale (as... more

If you want upscale comfort and convenience in the heart of town, then the Old Bank House is worth a look. We truly enjoyed the ambiance of the property, the helpful service consistently delivered with a smile, and our spacious rooms. This property can be pricey. We took advantage of a mid-week special price that offered an approximate 40% savings... more

After staying in another guest house in Cliften I felt I had to write to thank the staff of the Old Bank House. There was just no comparison to the way I was treated here. On arrival the check in was done so so well, the girls at the desk informed me of all the activites and nice places to... more

Appalling! I so regret we didn't document our experience with photos. We arrived to find a velvet rope across the stairway to reception, so we took the elevator-- only to find the tiny thing chock full of dirty sheets and bottles across the floor-- it seems housekeeping was at work, and each floor, every table, each space on every level... more

The Old Bank House is centrally located and is within walking distance to restaurants and pubs. The B&B is very charming and the room was decorated nicely and was clean. The breakfast was delicious. Relative to other comparable places we stayed I felt the cost was not justified, but perhaps the rates were higher because of the season and holiday... more

We (me, my wife, two kids, nearly 5 and seven years old) needed a room and walked in. People there have been very friendly and helpfull so we stayed for 4 nights. I can`t tell that the walls have been "newspaper thin", like mentiones here before. We had neighbors, but never heard a sound. The good thing about the hotel... more

On a trip along the south/western corner of Ireland - Kinsale was our first stop after flying into Cork. A short drive (very windy road) from Cork airport - takes you into Kinsale. A very nice fishing village with quaint shops and great food. Could be very touristy but since this was April, was fairly quite, The hotel is nicely... more

The Old Bank house is not as glossy as the pictures on their website but it's a nice place to stay in Kinsale. It wasn't as fantastic as I guess I expected. Go more for the town of Kinsale than anything. The town really is as charming as the pictures make it look but I will caution you that much... more

Just back from a weekend away with 40 others for a friend's birthday. We were spread over three hotels, the old bank house, the blue haven and the old presbytery. All 3 were given the thumbs up but the old presbytery wins for value for money. The Old Bank House however gets my vote purely because of their fabulous all... more
