Stayed here over a quiet late April weekend with a group of friends. James was the consumate host, entertaining us with stories, his interesting theories on the laws of physics and of course goblets of wine. Looking at the website (sovereignhouse) would lead one to believe it's the best B&B deal in town. Stayed in the off season and had the place to ourselves ..literally, as the owner was not to be found. The rooms were very big, the bathrooms OK. The decor is ecclectic but the place needed a good cleaning and dusting. The building is a marvelous Queen Anne and would be a great stay if managed properly.
