We arrived around 4 pm after selecting the Sea Gull from Rick Steve's book and the B&B lodgings list accepting prepaid vouchers. No one was home but the gentleman at the Desmond Castle next door told us to find Mary at the Tap Tavern down the hill. Off we went with another couple who was also looking for a room... more

We stayed with Mary in April. It was our first stop after arriving in Ireland. The town of Kinsale was a little confusing for me as we arrived at night. All the twisty roads and hills got my mother and I all turned around. Once we found our way things were excellent. Our room was nice and breakfast was wonderful!... more

This is a lovely Guest House in a perfect location, minutes walk from everything Kinsale has to offer. One main problem the place is freezing...........I don't consider it very comfortable to eat breakfast in coats, no warm cosy fire is lit anywhere in the house and the only heating in the bedrooms, a small wall electric heater. On our first... more

We arrived at Seagull around 11:00 pm and after a little difficulty the cabbie found it in the pouring rain. We knocked, rang then pounded for a while before another guest opened the door. He said Mary was at the tavern at the bottom of the hill (she works there). Mary walked back with my husband and let us in.... more
