We stayed for four nights and were happy on all counts. Glen House is the kind of b&b we long for but seldom find. The house and grounds are beautiful. The area is beautiful. It's close to Kinsale and Old Head. Guy and Diana are perfect hosts. And then there's breakfast. Eggs from the farm's chickens, serious soda bread fresh... more

Our stay at The Glen was simply delightful! Diana and Guy Scott are so friendly and really know how to offer the quintessential Irish experience. The house was gorgeous, the room comfy and quaint, and the Irish breakfasts were delicious! You must try Diana's homemade brown soda bread - it is divine! more

A beautiful country house to call home for a couple of days. Diana greeted us with Tea, Coffee and snacks. The dogs greeted us with enthusiasm also which the kids loved. Breakfast was very good each morning. Diana and her husband Guy seem committed to creating a high quality guest experience. I liked the "honor bar" to be able to... more

My daughter and I stayed at The Glen, which is a working farm about 20 minutes west of Kinsale in Kilbraitton. The house is beautiful and cozy with very comfortable, immaculate rooms. Our bedroom window looked out on the lawn, and beyond was a magnificent view of the mountains and Atlantic. Diana and Guy do a wonderful job with the... more

We decided to stay at B&Bs during our entire trip to experience the Irish hospitality we've heard so much about. In doing so, we have met so many friendly travelers (some have become friends) and have gotten to know all of our B&B hosts (kind of like staying with family or friends). If you do not enjoy or expect this... more

We stayed here for 3 nights in May with my wife's sister and her husband. It was a difficult decision on whether to stay at The Glen or in Kinsale itself. Thankfully we made the right decision, this place has more than a touch of class and is absolutely wonderful in every respect and we all thoroughly enjoyed our stay... more

The Glen Country House is one of the most beautiful places we stayed in Ireland (out of 5 total). It's a bit more up-scale and pricey though for a group of casual travelling friends. It would be best for a family or a romantic trip in my opinion. The breakfast is great and the grounds and rooms are beautiful. The... more

My wife and I have been visiting Ireland since 1996, and this is by far the most charming B&B we've ever visited. Diane and her family make you feel welcome from the minute you arrive. Her breakfasts are simply AMAZING - - we recommend the fish cakes. Afternoon tea was also a nice surprise. The area lends itself to hiking... more

From the moment you enter the property, you are in another world. The house and view across the Atlantic are breathtaking. Diana welcomed us warmly, and showed us to beautifully appointed and comfortable rooms. The house quickly became our home from home, with the added advantage of Paddy and Chloe, the family dogs. Diana's cooking is as good as any... more

One can only imagine the perfect B&B, but The Glen is all that and more. We were in evey way, totally satisfied with the setting, the house, the room, the breakfast, and warm hospitality we received. A instant relaxation from the hustle and bustle of travel with a quick drive to some of the best restaurants in Kinsale. You must... more
