Glen Country House is a lovely small country inn. It is out in the country, a bit away from Kinsale, and that is what we liked about it. Away from the tourist crowds and buses of Kinsale, but close enough to sightsee there. It is about a 15 minute drive around very scenic, winding country roads into Kinsale and about... more

When pulling thought the black iron gates into the long drive, you get the feeling of being on an Estate. Two pheasants crossed the drive on my way up to the main house. I was greeted by 2 Springer Spaniels that were so sweet. Diana popped straight out of the house and welcomed me in straight away. She offered me... more

The Glen is a beautiful country house located in Kilbrittain, about a 20 min drive from Kinsale. Diana and Guy gave us a warm welcome and showed us to our room, which was fabulous. It was large and comfortable, fitted out with tv, hairdryer, heater and ample storage. We were supplied lovely fluffy towels for the hot shower we so... more

We traveled to Ireland with 2 families, 4 adults and 5 children, so arranging accommodations was a challenge. Diana and Scott were wonderful from the first contact. Though we arrived late after losing ourselves a few times (entirely our fault- theGPS went out the window and the Ballinspiddle Festive and Duck Races were graciously suspended as we tried to figure... more

We recently toured Ireland by car, staying in high quality b and b's and guest houses. We even stayed in Ashford Castle. Glen Country House was one of our favorites. The setting and accommodations were flawless. Guy Scott made some excellent dinner reservations and provided a guidebook for lovely hikes. This is a Wonderful find! Highest possible recommdation. more

Having read previous reviews we couldn't wait to arrive at Gen House, we thought that we may be in for a treat and we were not to be dissapointed, a treat indeed ! We were met by Guy and Diana who showed us to our sea view room, one of six all beautifully decorated and equiped on the first floor... more

The Glen Country House is absolutely a dream come true - not a detail is missed here! The Glen is actually located in Kilbrittain, about 20 minutes south of Kinsale. To access the property you drive through a long tree-lined driveway, filled with flowering hydrangeas here and there. The ivy covered country house is situated with the most unbelievable view... more

We couldn't believe our good fortune when we drove up to The Glen Country House. We had been unable to find accommodations in Kinsale and had discovered The Glen quite by accident when looking for alternate places to stay. We were delighted beyond our wildest dreams when we saw what a beautiful property we had selected so accidentally. The view... more
