A group of us stayed here as we were going to a wedding in the area. We were greeted at the door by Valerie who was lovely and so welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble; Brian even offered to drop us over to the wedding reception. The breakfast was lovely and the rooms were large, clean and extremely comfortable. The... more

We weren't booked to stay at Woodlands House, but when we arrived at Landfall House, our original booking, Margo very apologetically told us that the woman who was booked in our room the night before was very ill and couldn't leave and she had called her friend Valerie at Woodlands House and she was able to take us in. We... more

Our B & B guidebook rated the Woodlands House in Kinsale as a four star and we couldn't agree more! Valerie and Brian were welcoming and very accomodating. They had plenty of ideas for restaurants and pubs in Kinsale. We were pleased to find free wi-fi at the house and even though we had our own laptop Valerie allowed our... more

Our stay at Woodlands House was wonderful. Our room was spacious and the house is meticulously kept. Our room overlooked the beautiful backyard and we had a wonderful view out the window. The bed was very comfortable. Every morning Valerie and Brian cooked a delicious breakfast which was served in a lovely breakfast room with gentle music playing. It was... more

*delish black pudding! *great view, we had the best view & room in the house, very spacious! *i didn't bring my laptop because of the constant move in different b&bs but the free internet access is a lovely extra! *unfortunately, we have to agree with the others with regard to the very "businesslike atmosphere", but it's fine since we experienced... more

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Woodlands House. This was our first stay in Kinsale, and we fell in love with the place! Owner Brian rescued us on the outside of the town and helped us navigate the rabbit warren of narrow (often one way) winding streets - much to our relief. We had had a long... more

Further out of town than we expected and a bit hard to find while they are re-laying the road, but very nice clean and comfortable once we had found it. Also not so far to walk down into town. Purpose built, so good size room and ensuite, breakfast was very good. more

My husband and I traveled with another couple and spent one night in Kinsale on June 27th. The roads are a little tricky and extremely narrow but we had a GPS which helped us navigate. The road we would have liked to have taken up the hill was closed for construction, which was the only obstacle to finding the B&B.... more

We were lost as soon as we got into the town of Kinsale. Two good samaritans called Brian on their cell phone and he soon arrived to lead us through the winding streets. Even though we arrived about two hours late, we were warmly greeted and given a hugh room on the front of the house. The room and bathroom... more

Brian and Val were one of the nicest, most gracious couple we met during our vacation recently . Their B&B is very clean, modern, comfortable and breakfast is wonderful. Wouldn't stay any where else. We got lost on our way to the Woodlands, and called Brian and Val. Brian came and found us, and made us feel very welcome. more
