My husband and I traveled with another couple and spent one night in Kinsale on June 27th. The roads are a little tricky and extremely narrow but we had a GPS which helped us navigate. The road we would have liked to have taken up the hill was closed for construction, which was the only obstacle to finding the B&B.... more

We were lost as soon as we got into the town of Kinsale. Two good samaritans called Brian on their cell phone and he soon arrived to lead us through the winding streets. Even though we arrived about two hours late, we were warmly greeted and given a hugh room on the front of the house. The room and bathroom... more

Brian and Val were one of the nicest, most gracious couple we met during our vacation recently . Their B&B is very clean, modern, comfortable and breakfast is wonderful. Wouldn't stay any where else. We got lost on our way to the Woodlands, and called Brian and Val. Brian came and found us, and made us feel very welcome. more

Beautiful purpose-built B&B just up the (long, steep) hill from downtown Kinsale. Views from our window were wonderful Although we gave up on the "walk to town" idea very quickly due to the length and steepness of the hill, we really enjoyed our stay. Our hosts were very gracious and breakfasts were sensational, especially the coffee (the very best that... more

I booked the room on line after reviewing several Kinsale B&B's. From location map on line was a bit decieving, it looked alot closer to town then it really was. When we first arrived, I was a bit disappointed with how far away from downtown we were, but my attitude quickly changed when I saw our room. Comfort trumped location... more

This review is long overdue. We had a wonderful stay at Woodlands House in June 2008. We had 2 rooms for our family of 4 ( older teens ) Both our rooms were beautiful and clean, Val welcomed us with tea and conversation. Woodlands is up the hill away from the busy town area. We enjoyed the quiet and lovely... more

Valerie was very nice and accommodating. She let us check in a little early and offered us some tea upon arrival. She offered us menus to review for local restaurants. The home is immaculate and our room was large, clean, quiet and comfortable. Breakfasts were great. Ten minute walk to town was easy. We would definitely go back. more

We enjoyed our stay here. Our room was fine and quiet. We had tea and cookies in a lovely sitting room with a fire going upon our arrival. Another nice thing was a computer in the hallway upstairs that we could use to email home. To go into town, we took our hostess' advice and drove to a church down... more

Woodlands was immaculate, to say the least. The house is perfectly maintained, always clean, and the amenities are well-planned and quite generous. Our room was huge, with a huge ensuite bathroom. We had cable tv, comfortable beds, and great views of Kinsale harbor in the distance. I'd say Woodlands House is about a 10-15 minute walk from Kinsale town center;... more

We spent 5 days at Woodlands House in Kinsale. Brian and Valerie could not have been warmer, kinder or more helpful. The house is a jewel - modern, bright, sparkling clean and beautifully decorated - with hardwood floors and beautiful rugs throughout. The bedroom was spacious with a very comfortable bed, and an ensuite bathroom which had a good sized... more
