I recently spent one night in the Carlton as part of a weekend away to West Cork. I upgraded our room to the Sea View suite as we wanted a little bit of luxury for the weekend and to spoil ourselves. The location itself is fantastic, very scenic and hidden away, but I was a little disappointed by the room,... More

Dear Sarah, I am glad you enjoyed the stay at the hotel & on the whole our facilities. I am disappointed that our room did not live up to the expectation you had. We are currently looking at our Wifi offering & are trying to offer it complimentary to our guests. I have taken on board your comments on our... More

Two adults and two teen daughters spead a wonderful 2-night break in the Carlton Kinsale Hotel & Spa in early January 2012. From the big bright light-filled reception area to the cosy comfortable rooms to the stunning sea-views everything about the hotel was first-class. The breakfasts are the same as is the standard fare in almost any hotel - help... More

We booked one of their special deals and upgraded to a harbour view room which was €30 a night. If you can stretch to this I would highly recommend it, the view across the harbour is stunning. The rooms are very modern and well kept with floor to ceiling windows to enjoy the view and the bathroom has a separate... More

We have stayed here once before and could not wait to head back for some much need post-Christmas R&R! There are some great deals on the Carlton website so we booked the bed & breakfast with two dinners - one at the hotel and one at Man Friday in town. Both restaurants served delicious meals. I would recommend trying out... More

Lovely hotel, excellent service, beautiful food! A little distance from the town but with a great shuttle bus service. The spa offers are wonderful, and €99 for two treatments was just what the doctor ordered, and you don't feel like you're getting the budget package, as the facial and massage were fantastic!!! More

We booked a double room for one night on booking.com, when we arrived we were given probably the worst room in the hotel; room 102 which was right next to the doors into the lobby meaning that every time someone walked through the doors we'd hear a burst of noise from the lobby and the thud of the doors closing.... Lovely hotel, excellent service, beautiful food! Only complaint would be that they are not allowed to use the vets in the bathroom, which is not very good since the room we stayed in ,the bathroom was without a window so the vent would be very careful.Their excuse was that they are very noisy.Still, they would need to be used. The reception forgot wake up... More
