We had been assured a complimentary upgrade to a deluxe room – I can only shudder at what a standard room might have afforded us. Stayed at this hotel overnight Friday on way to Kerry. Facilities are superb, our room was a King Size Room which was extremely comfortable. Stayed here recently for wedding, welcoming staff, food excellent, plenty of it, bar had been refurbished since last visit looked well, wine excellent, but room was a let down. Paid €130 a wedding rate ! for a de luxe room for a grotty room with stained carpet and couch, mismatched furniture and shower control that came away in your hand.... more

I just returned from an excellent two night stay at the Fitzgerald woodlands hotel with my boyfriend. We got a great deal online which included free champagne in the room on arrival.
