Food was beautiful but expensive. The rooms are basic with loud dark colours and in my opinion would be nicer in a brighter decor. Staff were robotic and no Irish welcomes which to me an Irish Country Hotel should have. Host was charming both in early morning and late at night. Stayed at The Ardagh in June 2004, having visited on two previous occasions in 2000 and 2002. Food and hospitality were excellent. The views and sunset across the bay are unbelievable.
