Stayed here for 1 night last Sunday 16th June and was not disappointed. Lovely welcome and room was great with a seperate sitting room large bathroom and fanastic bed. Almost like going back to 1970's no cards here to open bedroom door just good old fashion key. No big flat screen TV just little tv box in corner. But these... More

The highlight of our trip! Greeted with champagne upon arrival, upgraded to a room with fireplace, sitting area, full tester antique bed, claw foot tub for two, heated towel racks and shower. Lively piano bar and interesting menu prompted us to break the vow of never dinning in a hotel restaurant. Not disappointed in that choice, lobster Thermidor was fresh... More

The Abbeyglen hotel is one of Clifden's greatest treasures - setting, atmosphere and quality of food, and the warm welcome was superb. Staff were professional and courteous - and special mention must go to the receptionist who greeted us on our arrival on a bitterly cold Good Friday afternoon. We will definitely be back!

I stayed here for 1 night with a large group of friends for a hen party & had an EXCELLENT stay from start to finish & honestly can not say enough good things about this hotel. They are so friendly, welcoming & go the extra mile for their guests. We were greeted off the bus by the hotel manager Brian... More

Very friendly & helpful staff. Nice choise for breakfast & lovely dinner! All presented amazingly (especially the afters mmmmmm). In the evenings there's a great bar in the hotel with music & you can also have a nice sing-a-long ;-). Great scenery, so perfect for long relaxing walks. Can't wait to go back again :-)

Enjoyed our stay at the Abbeyglen. Wish we could have had another night there. The grounds are beautiful. Wanted to hike to the ruins, but had to leave after the delicious buffet breakfast. We did drive by them though. We didn't get to experience the spa but met some "locals" who come yearly for treatments and they raved. So maybe... More

From the cozy fireside chats in the lobby, to the splendid dinning facilities, this hotel is nicely appointed and comfortable. The service staff is friendly and attentive - we felt spoiled. The hotel grounds are very nice as well. The room was clean and comfortable with ample space for luggage and personal items. Location is 7 minutes walk from town... More

Our two night stay was wonderful in a lovely room with four poster bed. The bathroom was great with a lovely deep bath. The food was fantastic and all the staff were very friendly and helpful. We would recommend this hotel to anyone travelling in the area.

We recently stayed at the Abbeyglen "Castle". I was so excited to stay at a castle and was so disappointed. The desk staff gave us our key and said "that guy will take you to your room". The pictures on the website make it look beautiful. Our room looked like a old 1960's room. The maintenance department needs some serious... More
