Spent 4 days based in Connemara and anchored here at this beautiful guesthouse in Clifden. Not only did we get everything we were expecting but when my tripod broke I was given access to the basement and tools to put my overworked tripod back together. Great Breakfast overlooking the bay with the best breakfast view I ever had. Speaking with... More

The incredible location of this beautifully appointed bed and breakfast couldn't be more picturesque! With access to a lovely garden, pasture and ever-changed ocean, the all "rooms with a view" setting of Dolphin Beach House ranked as our favorite stay in Ireland. The breakfast room has gorgeous views of the pastoral and ocean scenery, and the meal was beautifully prepared... More

At first glance we thought we were somewhere else - this B&B is painted in very Tuscan/Mexican colours - quite unusual for the west Irish coast! But Dolphin Beach is very good - our room was very large as was the bathroom [maybe a bit more bench space could have made things a llittle easier for our toiletries - but... More

My wife and I are regular visitors to north Connemara and it amazes me that I had not stayed at Dolphin Beach until recently. This is a beautiful country house hotel, but with only a handful of rooms and so it is much more the country house than a hotel. Hospitality was excellent, very welcoming, helpful, not overly intrusive. The... More

OK - spectacular view about 5 minutes from town. Beautiful building and large rooms - most with great views. The owner is very helpful and gracious; she also cooked for us one night. A real bargain - rooms were only 140 per nite and dinner was 35 per head. This deserves a repeat visit.

This marvelous, welcoming house is filled with comfortable touches (like happy houseplants, movable furniture and helpful resident managers) and surrounded outside with Irish coastal views that will take your breath away. Every detail is comfortable, quiet and accommodating --- breakfasts included and kindness never optional. We decided to stay here as we happened to be following the same rambling itinerary... More

The Foyle family have a long history in Connemara and will not disappoint if you choose this lovely B&B. We stayed in the Peacock room for 4 nights and explored. We didn't want to leave. Clodagh and Dara are marvelous hosts, know the area intimately and will not disappoint. There Irish breakfast will please in every way. If you have... More

If you are looking for peace, stunning views, friendly and helpful hosts and a view of the sea from every window, then this is the place to go. It's a real find. Close enough to Clifden to enjoy the music and pubs it has to offer, but tucked away on the gorgeous Sky Road, it's the perfect location. Clodagh is... More

We booked on line, just on a whim. Wound up with the best meal we had in Ireland, created and served by the best host in Ireland, Clodagh Foyle. She made our stay forever memorable. Located just a short walk from the water, with beautiful views, short ride on the Sky Road to the charming town of Clifden. We took... More

We chose Dolphin beach based on other reviews. The location and view are simply spectacular and the service is second to none. We ate in the restaurant by prior arrangement and there again were not let down by the service or standard. Whilst we enjoyed the stay the things that did leave a lot to be desired was the standard... More
