I would not recommend anyone to enter this lady's grounds or stay here. My Family and I recent went to ireland. We drove around one day and found a country lane. We drove up the lane to find a beauitful country house with stunning surrounds. My wife got out of the car and took some photos of the lighthouse as... More

We stayed for 2 nights as part of our short tour of the Ring of Kerry. Meta was a very welcoming hostess and we loved the house and the way she has restored it. It has only 4 rooms and will not suit those who like modern smart hotels. However it's location overlooking the bay and the view we enjoyed... More

Having read the mixed reviews we visited we were unsure of what to expect. What we did get was a warm greeting, a handy map to navigate the gardens and off we went. Our walk started on the sea walk and there were a couple of areas of the path that needed some cutting back, however the views towards Knightstown... More

Attacked by two vicious barking dogs while walking in the garden. Fortunately they were muzzled but one doesn't expect such an encounter after paying 6 euros entrance fee. Toilets unusable, really not suitable for the public and definitely overpriced.

To visit Glanleam gardens is to experience a truly magical environment. The idea that its possible to grow such lush and exotic plants on one of Europe's most westerly inhabited island surrounded by the atlantic ocean is hard to imagine..............until you see it! Try walking around the gardens, take time to explore the many hidden treasures, water courses and pools,... More
