We stayed just one night in Grove House, where we received a very warm welcome including help with our luggage and a drink in the lounge where we could take a look at the menu. Dinner was excellent and the dining room absolutely lovely. The room was highly romantic with its four-poster and old-fashioned but comfortable design. The owners are... more

Just on the outskirts of Skibbereen up a quiet private drive we found Grove House, a former Georgian home. Anna and Peter greeted us warmly and treated us more as friends than guests during our comfortable stay. Our ensuite room was spacious and well furnished and 4 poster bed ensured a good night's sleep. The food was excellent with complimentary... more

Stayed in cottage two for 3 nights, but took advantage of the breakfasts each morning at the main house and had a 3 course evening meal on two of the nights. Anna & Peter were welcoming and friendly and the accommodation could not be faulted - the jacuzzi was amazing! Anyone who wants a relaxing holiday in this lovely part... more

We had the great pleasure of spending 2 nights at Grove House earlier this month and would heartily recommend it! Anna and Peter are a most welcoming couple who love their home and delight in sharing it. This is an old building and they have spent much time, effort and money in restoring it very sympathetically. If you want a... more

We arrived a little early and as cottage wasnt ready, were given ta and choc's to wait. The hosts, Peter & Anna were wery friendly, not too much like, but just right. We were shown to the cottage... more

Myself and my partner had the "privilege" of staying at Grove House for three nights recently and I can say, without doubt, it is one "very special" place indeed. We stayed in one of the four double bedrooms available in the 200 year old Georgian House which has been sensitively restored by Peter and Anna Warburton. Our room was quaint... more

We have just returned from a touring holiday of the west of Ireland and found Grove House to be the most disappointing of all the places we stayed. On arrival, the house looked neglected and dirty with cobwebs on the windows and paint peeling from the front windows. We were warmly greeted by Anna and shown to our room but this... more

This review is not accurate. Grove House is regularly maintained and meets high standards set by local quality monitors. We are 'Fuschia Branded' which means that we are one of very few establishments that meet high standards of product and service set by a West Cork tourism quality control body. Grove House is located off the R593, a secondary road...

My wife and I spent a week at Grove House in July, and it was one of the best B&Bs we have ever stayed at. Peter and Anna, the owners, couldn't have been nicer or more accommodating. Peter even spent over a half hour, with a map of the area on the living room table, telling us in great detail... more

We booked a self catering cottage on the strength of their website. Looked really nice online and, when we got there, no nasty surprises. We had to wait quite a while before we could check in but were given tea and chocs while we did so. The property we chose would be perfect for a family with young kids as... more
