We booked in for 2 nights. Shiela & Charles are wonderful hosts. Very helpful and very frinedly but never obtrusive. The photo on the website does not do justice to this place. The residents lounge is nicer than you would get in any hotel. The breakfasts are fantastic. Very peaceful and quiet place. we will be back. more
We stayed in this B&B for one night during our recent trip to Ireland. Charles and Sheila were excellent hosts. Their B&B is beautiful with all the amenities, including two very friendly dogs. Stayed at Whitethorn Lodge for 1 night end of June 2006. Wonderfully warm welcome from Mr and Mrs Poillot, nice large room and tea/coffe available any time in lounge with home made cake. Lovely Irish breakfast with plenty of choice. Only 34 euro each. On the main N71 road to Schull, 3 minutes walk to centre of Skibbereen. Would certainly... more
