We re-visited this hotel in May - bank holiday weekend for the Bay Run. We used the special offer from SuperValu when booking as it seemed very good value. This hotel is very old and very tired! The "Family Room" we stayed in, was a standard room, with extra beds squashed into an already cramped space. Stayed here 10 years ago and those basement rooms are still the same, old, tired, musty and in dire need of an upgrade. Bad grout, dirty toilet, broken lamp .... I was in room 129 by the way. We have just come back from a 2-night break in the Pondlodge Cottages at the Westlodge Hotel and I would definitely recommend them for families. We went to this hotel in Xmas 2012. We have 2 young kids 5&7 years old and we were made feel at home.the staff are very good with kids and kept them amused while we had a quiet drink. Ten of us stayed here for my boyfriends surprise 40th birthday & it was the perfect location!! Everything was perfect!! :-) The rooms were spotless, the food was fabulous, the leisure centre was great fun & the staff couldn't have been more friendly or helpful to our every need!! An amazing, relaxing, enjoyable stay!! 10/10!! :-)
