We were amazed from the moment we took the long driveway up to the estate, then were even more amazed at the beauty of the house and the gardens. Our room was spectacular and extremely spacious and elegant. We had a direct view of Bantry Bay from our room, and the amenities were superb. Breakfast was served by the owner... more

We rented two rooms for the night of May 25, 2008. Every aspect of our stay was superb. The hospitality of the staff, the magnificient gardens and the rooms themselves were outstanding. As stated in other reviews, the host was gracious, personally handled our check-in and made our dinner reservations on a very busy night at O'Connor's in town. Bantry... more

We stayed here for one night over Easter and it was wonderful. The bedroom was warm and inviting with great views of the garden and the bathroom was state of the art with under floor heating. We popped into the town for dinner then returned to the library where we sat by the fire, read books from the library and helped... more

We had left Dingle a day early as our previous hotel was less than good. Having wanted to visit the gardens as we had read that this was one of Ireland's cannot miss things to do, I had seen that there may be an opportunity to stay also at Bantry House. Thank goodness for the call I made!! Bantry house... more

Having returned from Ireland, we feel compelled to write here how much we particularly enjoyed our stay at Bantry House. We stayed for two nights - it is more expensive than other B&Bs, but absolutely worth every penny. It is such a special location - the most stunning view from the house over Bantry Bay to the Kerry hills! The... more

We spend most of our nights in Ireland in nice B & Bs and staid in Bantry House as a special treat as it was highly recommended by friends. We really enjoyed our stay there tremendously. Bantry House offer Bed& Breakfast accommodation in beautifully furnished guest rooms and bathrooms overlooking the wonderful gardens. The White family and the staff did... more

My husband and I stayed here in May. The gentleman manning the phone had a lovely aristocratic accent. He is a family member of the original owners who lost their title through some Salic Law-like technicality. He is of the sweetly absentminded sort, like a classics professor. Very endearing. The property is gorgeous, set in wonderful gardens overlooking Bantry Bay.... more

Stayed at Bantry House for two nights in mid May '06, primarily because of its proximity to noted gardens in the area and the fact that it has a wonderful formal garden of its own. The unique thing about Bantry House is that it has been in the same family since the 1700s. All the stuff the family has collected... more

Found this is a guidebook that we always rely on for lodging recommendations for our trips. My husband and I and another couple stayed here in 2001 and can't say enough about it.... Its a museum type place during the day and has a small number of hotel rooms. We had our own butler/caretaker type person for showing us to... more
