I have never stayed in accomodation but I do have a wonderfull memories of listening to a piano receital played during the chamber music festival (check out the programme if you plan to vist during the summer). The gardens are beatiful and the libary lent a tone of elegance to the concert. More recently I was making inquiries into bookings... More

I've read many of the reviews of Bantry House and I agree with all the good things that have been written. I traveled with my mother who has an incredible green thumb and love of gardens. We booked last minute and only stayed one night, nevertheless, we were warmly welcomed and everyone we met was extremely friendly and helpful. My... More

I travelled to Ireand to do a beekeeping day with Tim Rowe (Rose Beehives) at Ballylickey. I stayed for one night at Bantry House and it was just as everyone has described. RIght from my first email enquiry to which I had a fast and friendly response, it was an lovely experience, The nicest thing was the warmth of the... More

Having got engaged at Christmas and setting the date for July 30th plus the fact that we live in Dubai and had 3 days in Ireland to decide on a venue we were faced with a 'challenge'. We visited Bantry House on a very cold December day and immediately knew that this was the magical venue we had dreamt of.... More

My sister and brother-in-law chose this stunning location for their wedding. Following a beautiful wedding ceremony at St Finbarr’s Oratory in Gougane Barra the reception was held at Bantry House. I was one of a privileged number of the wedding party who enjoyed a 2 night stay in the superb guest house accommodation. The bedrooms were elegant and the atmosphere... More

We stayed here in June for one night and wished it was more. There is so much to write. First, the House itself is a myriad of personal artefacts from all over the world, owned by all decendents from the 1st Earl of Bantry. The present owners run the House and couldn't be nicer. It's far removed from the typical... More

The experience of staying In Bantry House cannot be reflected by traditional star rating systems- this really is more than a country House with rooms, it is like being welcomed into a family heritage of bygone time. The family still own the house and it is a real family hands on business, they are very much in evidence and so... More

Bantry House was an exquisite stay. The house and grounds are beautiful -as is the view -and staying was an quite an experience. The rooms of the house which are open to the public are stunning and include an array of original and historic furnishings. The guest rooms are in a wing and very nice, although not period in decor.... More

This was the most amazing place we stayed the whole trip. The size of the rooms we toured was mind boggeling. Have read of such things in books but to realy see the size and grandure of it in person is a once in a lifetime experience. The gardens are also very nice and can imagine how beautiful it all...
