Went to Cobh with my partner, our daughter and two friends. Took the deal with a picnic at Foto Wildlife - really nice break away! Picnic was well worth it as take away in Foto is expensive enough for what you get! Hotel located right beside train station into foto & cork city - ideal. Parked the car for the... more

The hotel had a beautiful view and comfortable rooms. The breakfast was fantastic and we got a great rate on a package that included breakfast as well as FOTA wildlife tickets and a picnic lunch. Everyone was very helpful I can't say enough great things. more

Small quaint hotel, beautifully decorated with restaurant, extremely convenient to the Cobh Heritage Centre, which has a wonderful food and atmosphere, we skipped the hotel restaurant for the reasonably priced cafe inside the Heritage centre which is definitely worth a visit. Hotel staff was friendly and helpful, we hated to leave. Would stay here again and recommend it to friends. more

We stayed here to play golf at Fota Island golf course. Cobh is a cute but very small town, and out of the way for the main tourist attractions. We had a nice (quick) tour of the town and visited the Fota Island gardens. In addition, the golf course is nice. But there are very limited venues for dinner in... more

Room 16 has a window about 10 metres from a bar/disco which is a source of considerable noise; the "music", the "singing" of nightclubbers and arguments about whether to have another drink or not !. The racket went on until after 2.30am. It was made clear to their night door-man at 2.15am that I was very angry, but he claimed... more

Poor hotel, rooms are small and dull. They actually charge 3 Euro for 20 mins wi-fi access (yes 3 euro for 20 mins) which is beyond ridiculous. I travel all over Ireland for Work and this was one of the most dissapointing hotels to-date. Bar is small and the beer is failry poor, parking is tight and limited to say... more

This Hotel is just excellent. Limited amount of parking space is the only minus. Good receptionist and good staff generally. The real treat is the Jacobs Ladder restaurant. Good food and good service. Would recommend this hotel for anyone. more

We had a group of 13 stay at the hotel in May for 1 night. Overall the hotel was OK but watch out they do automatically charge your credit card in US Dollars. This doesn't give you the best exchange rate. I asked them to void the charge and redo it but they wouldn't. more

We arrived at the Water's Edge on April 20, sleep-deprived, jet-lagged, stressed-out, and cranky American tourists (my husband had just driven on the other side of the road for the first time - for 3 hours). We got there at around 10 of 10 in the morning, and they couldn't have been nicer - breakfast ended at 10am, but they... more
