The hotel is close by to the railway station and the local attractions. I stayed in a room with a view overlooking the harbour which was lovely. The staff are helpful, the food was excellent and I would definitely recommend this hotel. more

After reading some quite extreme views on this hotel I was concerned about staying there but have to admit that although the hotel was a bit rough around the edges decor-wise it was still a lovely place to stay and the staff were great - they were very helpful - even re parking which was free and the food was... more

My original plan was to stay here for two nights just as an "in between" spot and to take my little boy to the Fota Zoo. We checked into our room, saw the amazing sea view we had (for an incredible rate nonetheless) and ended up cancelling our other plans and staying for a week. The service here is absolutely... more

We stayed overnight at The Comodore. I wanted to make sure we stayed our first night in a really nice hotel, before travelling around Ireland. The Commoodore was definitely the worst place we stayed in during our visit, and the most expensive. We arrived at the hotel in the early evening and the swimming pool was already closed. We decided... more

We took my parents here for the weekend with a view to using the hotel as a base for seeing the area. The hotel was easy to find but finding a car park space was out of the question and the hotel does little to help you. The reception staff offer little in the way of a welcome and the... more

My family and I stayed in 2 rooms at the Commodore which was a big disappointment. When we arrived we requested waterfront rooms which were available for an additional charge which we paid. One of the rooms had dirty coffee cups, flies and lost electricity at one point. The lights were turned on quickly after contacting front desk. We had... more

Stayed at the Commodore with my Mum after booking with bookings.com - got a fantastic deal at only €90 for 3 nights bed and breakfast for the two of us. We had breakfast in bed each morning for only €5 surcharge and the breakfast was to die for. Hearty Irish served with toast and the freshest soda bread ever! The... more
