Built into one night of our ten days in County Cork the fishing village and surrounds were well worth the visit but this hotel was down there with the few really bad ones in which we have ever stayed. Despite being house trained and having eaten in some of the very best venues in the UK Europe and north America... more

Hi, My husband, and I stayed in the suites attached to the recently closed Baltimore Harbour Hotel in August of this year with our three small kids. We had originally booked for two weeks but after the first day or so it became clear that we could no longer stay in the house. The houses were built against the back of... more

We arrived at this hotel very excited thinking we were staying in a suite adjacent to the Hotel - this suite was like at holiday home/apartment from hell. From the minute we walked in the door there was an awful musty and damp smell. The last peoples rubbish bags/empty bottles were also left at the door. The rooms are very... more

Overall this hotel is difficult to recommend. It has a good location friendly staff and provided a good ,if noisy ,breakfast in thechild friendly restaurant. Rooms are however dated, the lay out of the hotel is poor and in our experience the noise from outdoor drinkers and smokers on the patiio, after11.30pm, unacceptable. The restaurant couldn't accommodate our party ,due to... more

We stayed two nights in Baltimore Harbour Hotel recently. It was by far the most relatively expensive hotel we stayed in but was the lowest quality. The public areas of the hotel were fine, very standard, nothing special. The room was very very basic and looks as though nothing has changed there since the 1970s. Breakfast was fine. Good location... more

We stayed two nights in this hotel on our tour of Ireland in june 2007 and I must say this hotel was one of the best, maybe even the best. Friendly welcome at reception and bar. Spacious lounge, comfortable and cosy. The room was excellent and the views of the bay were memorable. Baltimore is a bit isolated, so if... more

Our 3rd visit to Baltimore and the Harbour Hotel. We visited first in 2005 and could not fault the hotel. This year all the staff were still friendly and happy to help however the bedrooms in the hotel are in need of some tender loving care. They need repainting as there were some large scuff marks on the wall, the... more

I stayed at the Baltimore House Hotel a few weeks ago for a friends wedding. The day was stunning and we were able to have the champagne reception outside in the sun looking over a spectacular view of the sea and the surrounding scenery was beautiful. The hotel itself was very average though, the rooms were old and quite grotty.... more

My husband and I stayed here for a weekend in March 2007. The staff were excellent - incredibly friendly and helpful. The room had a spectacular view and was spotless. But the weather made a nice weekend into something really special. We had two "pet" days in a row - blue skies, still water and fantastic sunsets. A lovely hotel... more
