This house has a lovely outlook over green fields with mature trees giving vistas that are exceptional. There is a salmon stream to admire from the magnificent breakfast room that doubles as the formal dining room. The house has antiques and faded oriental carpets that give it a relaxed but still elegant feel. The rooms are large with great views and... more

We truly enjoyed our stay at the Ballyduff House, and it is one of our favorite memories from our time in Ireland. We stayed here for our 1st wedding anniversary. I have to be honest, I don't usually care for staying in B&B's because I feel like they lack privacy, but I heard that staying at a B&B in Ireland... more

We visited Ballyduff having learned of it from Trip Advisor. We weren't steered wrong. We loved it from the moment we drove up the long drive. It's a beautiful home with great ambience. We loved the large rooms, the library and all of the antiques. The setting on the river was beautiful and the large front yard would be a... more

My wife and I had a lovely time staying at Ballyduff House in Co. Kilkenny. Our hostess was warm and welcoming, the accommodations were beautiful and the Irish Breakfast was wonderful! It's a wonderful retreat on an amazing piece of property. Too bad I scared the cows away! We traveled to Inistioge on the recommendation of the owner and it... more

This is a wonderful place to stay, Brede is fantastic. Nothing is too much for her. The place is beautiful and on the banks of a great salmon river. Beware if you are using Frommers Guide directions, Ballyduff is three miles from Thomastown, NOT New Ross as their guide suggests. more

Our family came together this weekend for my mother's birthday. We were delighted with the choice of Ballyduff, which we booked out completely. The house and the grounds were great fun for the smaller members of our party and because we were the only guests there, we did not have to worry about them disturbing other people. There are two... more

We visited Ballyduff during the first week in August for a 'suprise' do for my Grandma. With eighteen of us, ranging from seven months to the eighty year old Birthday girl herself, it would have been easy anywhere else to feel cramped and unattednded to at times. However Ballduff, with it's beautiful (and vast) grounds and adequately sized, stylish rooms... more

I booked in to stay at Ballyduff House for 2 nights and stayed 6. It is a simply lovely proper Country H ouse set in idyllic surroundings. Last week the sun was out and the trees were getting dressed so every few hours they took on a different shape. I took my breakfast in the dining room which overlooked the... more
