The rooms at Gleann na Smol are awful! Our towels were thin and fraying at the edges, the carpet was old, there was a coat of dust on the lampshade, and one of the drawers had an open carton of cookies apparently left by a previous guest. While Sean is friendly, the rooms were terrible. The mattresses were ancient and very uncomfortable and the comforter had quite obviously not been washed. Additionally, the skylight was full of cobwebs. This was the most expensive place we stayed on our 10 day trip to Ireland and was by far the worts experience. more

Howth is a great location for people who want to visit Dublin without dealing with city hotels and crowds.
