Lisdoonvarna is a nice place- quaint and nice to potter about.

Stayed in Ore-A-Tava B&B which is about a mile out of the village towards Ballyvaughan. Simple B&B but nice breakfast and location-was a great stroll from the pub in the evening back to the B&B!:) Water pressure in shower was only bad point.

Ate at the Royal Spa bar - which was great food and a great trad session starting around 10! Great place indeed.Also ate at the chinese on the corner which was lovely.Lynch's for snacks was also good.Avoided sheedy's as menu looked tiny & not that great.

Lisdoonvarna looked the best bet for the area to stay.Doolin has good pubs but is really spread out.Ballyvaughan looked good too but not much there.
