Stayed here last weekend as part of a tour of the region. Its a little too easy to pass through Athlone en-route to else-where ut well worth considering at a stop over desination. Only stayed here for one night, but would have no hesitation in staying here again if in Athlone. Bright and comfortable, very friendly, and an excellent breakfast. Seven minutes' walk into the centre (we timed it from the house to Sean's Bar) so handy for all the attractions.

Very friendly b&b. My room I would say was just done up. Soft furnishings were lovely and the bed was super comfortable. The breakfast was fantastic especially the mushrooms. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Shannonside House Athlone. The location of the B&B was very convenient, a five minute walk to the town centre. The owners were extremely welcoming. The breakfast was delicious! I would highly recommend Shannonside House.

Its 7 years since I last visited Shannonside house and the standards are still maintained.
