We were on a week long tour of Ireland staying in different accommodation as we travelled. This was the "stand out" place for us. A fantastically warm welcome from Brian and Mary who were also very accommodating. There is ample parking and it's well signposted, so not hard to find. It's set on a large plot with a paddock out... more

Athlone is a lovely little town in the centre of Ireland, ideal for travelling on to the west coast. Although this Guest House is out of town, the parking was easy and the place is bike friendly for motorcyclists. The welcome was warm and Mary, Brian and Victor couldn't do enough to make our stay comfortable. In the evening we enjoyed a... more

I regularly travel around Ireland as part of my work comittments. This necessitates staying in either hotels or B&Bs as I deem most convenient to the location of the business I will be providing a service to. I have recently found Cornamagh House Bed and Breakfast and was totally delighted with the warm and friendly welcome which I received from... more

We have just returned back from a short stay in Athlone. The all-Ireland drama festival is held annually in the town around this time of year, so we were looking for somewhere handy, clean and friendly. I'm please to say we found it at Cornamagh House. As other reviews have said, the hosts Brian and Mary are extremely nice and... more

Brian and Mary were hands down two of the nicest people that we met in our travels throughout Ireland! Our room was spacious and clean. We opted to travel throughout the country by train, and I was concerned that this B&B might be too far from the center of town to walk to. It was an easy walk, which took... more

This is a very lovely B&B. The rooms are very large and spacious. The beds are comfortable. Everything is very neat and clean. We had one of the biggest ensuite bathrooms I have ever seen in Ireland. The owners have horses in the back yard so you really feel like you're in the country. The owners are also very generous.... more

I totally recommend it, Brian and Mary were so accomodating, the big breakfasts in the morning were great, with lots of toast and cereal also to fill us up ! The room we stayed in was clean and spacious, great bathroom and walk in... more

Large spacious room, and a huge bathroom. Extremely friendly owners with lots of great information and recommendations on local sights and places to eat. Mary and Brian were some of the nicest people we met on the trip. Mary made us coffee when we arrive, and later that night Brian lit the fireplace for us and let us watch the... more
