We were desperate for a place to stay - and were none to keen on going back to the Smugglers Inn that we stayed in the year before - but all of Waterville was booked up because of a big wedding.
We had a copy of the Irish Hotel or Bed and Breakfast guide in the car - so flicked through and called on the offchance there was some free room left.
We were given directions to find the place - probably a good job as we would never have thought to have looked down that road for accommodation as it felt way out of Waterville.
The road is just opposite the Golf club - not the golf club at the Smugglers Inn end of town - the other one - near the bridge that crosses the river. We drove dow this road for what felt like ages.
On arrival it was more like a hotel - large number of rooms with fantastic views - either over looking a beautiful lake - or the hills. We had one room at the front and one room at the back - both were great - and the most comfortable bed I...
