Like other reviewers, we felt that this place was in desperate need of some upgrades. For this price, there should be newer beds, new (clean) linens, larger televisions, and some general spruce up to the rooms. A better wireless router would make internet available to the rooms. A little bit of money spent on these types of things would go... more

We booked the Smugglers Inn as part of their “No hassle” dinner. This means you pay for the three course dinner (€29.95) each plus a complementary bottle of wine and you can stay over for free`!!. So far so good, and I must say that there was nothing (well almost) wrong with the food. We arrived at the Inn around... more

Staying at the Smuggler's Inn was the one blot on an otherwise perfect golf holiday. Thankfully we had booked the rooms for one night only. My room was dingy, the bathroom was unappealing. A request for a wake up call was met with the advice to use a mobile phone. No provision was made for early breakfast for golfers other... more

I find this review quiet disturbing ,as I think I can recall the party in question requesting early breakfast & an early morning call ,however it was late at night & breakfast staff could not be contacted to request them to come to work approx 2 hours earlier than normal to accomadate these guests .So we arranged for takeaway breakfast...

Restaurant was fine--good food and service. The room we stayed in was downright bad: dingy and tatty. The bathroom was a closet, smelling faintly of vomit, every fixture was old and cheap, very little hot water. The beds were rickety and cheap. We had an early tee time, but there was no wakeup service--we were told to program our cell... more

It was the proper irish welcome we were expecting in so many other places. We had a lovely room with a fantastic view and our own small conservatory/balcony looking out to the Atlantic ocean,... more

We were looking for a place for one night in waterville and saw the sign so we stopped and asked the owner if they had any rooms. It was pretty late so she gave us a great rate and the place looked ok so we decided to stay. The rooms are nothing special, they are clean and quite large but... more
