not much to say on this hotel. its quite far out of dundalk on the dublin side. rooms and hallways were a bit dated. bar was comfortable and lobby. didnt eat there so cant comment on the food. think it cost me €79 for the night , wasnt worth that money. but reasonable enough hotel. more

After looking on net for reasonable price for Saturday overnight stay for me & hubby in Newry (very expensive) decided to book hotel in Dundalk instead. The fairways hotel was great value @ 89euro for the night for 2 with breakfast included. It is about 15mins from Newry. Fine big hotel with lots of parking. On arrival the receptionist was... more

I was a bit worried when I saw some of the reviews about the hotel as we had already booked but decided to go anyway. I was really pleasantly surprised when we walked into the hotel. It was bright and airy and the staff couldn't do enough for us. Our room was nice - clean and quite big - much... more

I stayed in the Fairways Hotel on 27th & 28th Feb 2009, We were given a delux room but i'm sorry i've never stayed in such a dirty room. The cobwebs were coming down the walls which were cracked. There was stains on one of the walls basically it was a dingy room with very bad lighting, maybe thats why... more

Was at Fairways for works Xmas party .Hotel was ok, but not close to town. Xmas dinner was more like a Sunday roast, disappointed that there was not a varied choice it was beef or beef, service at table was not good as more food was ending up on table than plates. Breakfast was cold. Keep clear for Xmas parties more

But next morning found the breakfast surprisingly good. There didn't appear to be any restaurants locally so had to... more

This is an average hotel, nothing exciting, we stayed here midweek with 2 toddlers, there were no other kids here only the over 60's. As my husband said after coming back from the bar one night, it was pretty dead!! Our room was surprisingly spacious with a double bed and e single beds. It was also the very last room... more

My husband & I just spent the weekend at the Fairways Hotel and were quite disappointed by the whole experience. Our room was a major let down and looks nothing like the rooms shown in the hotel photos. These photos are of the newer part of the hotel and our room was in the older part of the hotel which... more
