We stayed at the Hylands Burren for 3 nights, immediately after arriving in Ireland from a long international flight. It was the right place to stay, quiet, friendly and within easy distance of all the local attractions of the Burren. The hotel is an old coaching pub, and this legacy shows in the appealing character of the place. The food... more

My husband recommended we stay in this hotel as he had been here a number of years ago and had thoroughly enjoyed his stay. What a disappointment the Hylands turned out to be. Firstly the hotel is famed for its traditional music sessions etc. We stayed there on Saturday night to discover there was no music or evening entertainment on.... more

We enjoyed our stay, this was our third visit to the Hyland but the first in 8 years, it was just as we remembered. The staff are all friendly and they serve a great breakfast. Hope to be back someday soon. more

Hyland's was our first stop on a 2 week trip around Ireland. The hotel was clean and the staff was welcoming. I was a bit put off at first about the service but found as time went on that things are a bit more casual in Ireland than they are in the U.S. In that light the room was roomy... more

Excellent food (highly recommend mussels and chips) lovely breakfast room and service, nice bright reception area and fire - one complaint was the manager - the hotel was sold out and myself and a friend had booked a twin room for two nights but decided on arrival to take another room in a BnB so we could have our own... more

We stayed at the Hylands Burren for 3 nights as part of our tour of west Ireland. Very nice room, good size, comfortable and very clean. Quiet as well, despite being on the ground floor. Food and service was a bit hit and miss - first night it took the staff a hour to clear away our starter plates by... more

A really pleasant hotel. Ideal for a romantic weekend. But go for a walk for exercise... no gym or pool! Really nice food (chowder and 8oz steak at dinner was excellent) Room was spotless.Staff really pleasant and flexible. We arrived late after kitchen was alcosed and the bar girl got us chips! only criticism was that the background music in... more

We recently took a short break at this hotel. We found it very family friendy. The barfood menu was extensive and the breakfast was of very high quality. The staff were helpful and the service we received throughout the hotel was very good. I have to congratulate them on the standard of cleanliness in the public areas of the hotel,... more

I stayed in Hylands for one night as part of a trip around Co Clare. Our room was large and bright with a large bathroom, both spotlessly clean. My only complaint was that our bed was old and uncomfortable. The staff were all extremely friendly and very efficient. Breakfast choices were pretty limited but more than adequate. My lasting impression... more
