Rusheen Lodge exceeded our expectations for a comfortable, roomy, peaceful B&B in the midst of the beautiful Burren. Getting away from major US cities and suburbia is exactly what we had in mind. With a car, we found we were centrally located to take a ferry to the Aran Islands, drive down the coast to the Cliffs of Moher, experience... more

We stayed for 2 nights at Rusheen Lodge. It is situated about half a kilometre from Ballyvaughan. This would be fine, except that there is no footpath into town - so you do have to take your life in your hands a little bit and walk along the side of a reasonably busy road if you wish to walk to... more

We stayed at the Rusheen Lodge for four nights in early July. We were in a suite that was larger than many 1BR apartments. The bed was comfortable and the adjoining sitting room had two soft armchairs that were most welcome after long days of driving. Their breakfast area was charming and you got numerous cold breakfast items (quite good)... more

We had a great 3 day weekend in the Rusheen Lodge visiting Galway, the Aran Islands and the Burren. Karen was very accomodating for our infant daughter and had set up a table in the corner of the breakfast room with a high chair for us, she also had set up a travel cot in our bedroom. The room we... more

Stayed at Rusheen for 3 nights in April. My husband and I reserved the Garden Suite which although a little more expensive than the regular rooms it was most definately worth it. Our room had a queen bed with a lovely archway through to a sitting area with bay windows overlooking the garden patio. Our friends reserved a regular double... more

We stayed at Rusheen Lodge at the end of a long trip to England and Ireland. Rusheen is such a gem! It's beautifully decorated, and the rooms have postcard-perfect views of fthe surrounding farms and mountains of the Burren. As city dwellers, we enjoyed opening the windows at dawn to hear the cows mooing in the nearby pastures. My husband,... more

A breath of fresh air! I booked this B&B over the Internet, focusing on this price category, and this one really delivered the value! The room was large and lovely with a very modern bathroom. The dining room looked out on a lovely garden, and the food was great! Ballyvaughn is a bit out of the way, and the Rusheen... more

We stayed at Rusheen Lodge for two nights. Our room had a queen size bed. The room was large enough for the two of us. It had a little type of hallway leading to the bathroom, which was a nice size. This hall had an area to store our suitcases, so they were out of the way. Everything was spotlessly... more

Rusheen Lodge, Ballyvaughan, Co. Clare, Ireland An absolutely wonderful stay on the west coast of Ireland. Karen McGann and her staff were very friendly and made you most welcome. The suites were equipped to the very highest specification with a comfortable lounge area and two double beds, tea making facilities, TV.etc. plus a substantial bathroom.
