I'd have to say that this far and away the best place I've ever stayed in Ireland. The rooms are fantastic, spotlessly clean and very substantial (in our case, big enough for a decent double bed, a full size single bed, a couple of comfy chairs, a table, a dressing table, and still enough room for a two year to... more

Hello The owner Conor makes you very welcome in Ballyvaughan. We not only stayed here on our honeymoon in August 2002 but we returned in 2008. While we were there, we were treated to a music session with his brothers and a special treat of a fellow B&Ber, Ciaran Sheehan, a notable broadway singer and between the Irish music and... more

Conor was very helpful and knowledgeable about the area and recommended actvities and dining options. The B&B, room and bath were, clean, comfortable, top-notch and beyond expectations. We were on a 3-week trip to Ireland and the U.K. and the Cappabhaile House was one of our best choices. Conor even helped us in making arrangements for our next stop in... more

I truly enjoyed staying at Cappabhaile House. When Aer Lingus lost my luggage, they were there to sort it out; they provided maps and all sorts of cycling advice; they directed us to the best local eateries and sights; and they gave us phenomenal breakfasts. I've stayed at 4 or 5 B&Bs in Ireland but this was the warmest. I... more

Location perfect for visiting the Burren region! Conor, mine host ,was a mine of useful information and nothing was too much trouble. Thanks to him my husband was able to attend an informative lecture and go "Flora hunting" with an expert guide. Everything in the house is designed for comfort and there is plenty of space in the bedroom, which... more

We arrived on a Friday afternoon and were greeted by Conor sporting a huge bandage on his hand. Friendly, welcoming and informative about the local area, we were shown to our room arms stuffed with local guide books and heads stuffed with knowledge. Huge room, very comfortably furnished, nice view out the back towards the hills. Good quality bed and... more

Cappabhaile House is a well-built, roomy, guest house where we were provided a large, private room and bath with a great view and an incredible breakfast every morning. We stayed for 3 days beginning on 13 April 2008. Conor, our host, was extremely helpful in every way both before and after we arrived. The Cliffs of Moher first attracted us... more

Spending two days at this lovely B&B was a magnificent taste of Ireland. I can't think of a nicer way to spend my birthday than at this friendly place in the Irish countryside. Conor made us feel so welcome. The highlight of my trip to Ireland was being invited to listen to the traditional Irish music as Conor and his... more

If you are looking for a superb Guest House in the West of Ireland, consider staying with Conor and Margaret at their incredibly spacious, tastefully decorated, and comfortable home, Cappabhaile House in Ballyvaughan. I would give this guest house my highest recommendations for the quality of the accommodations alone, but when you add the incredible welcome extended by Conor and... more
