I stayed in Gallaghers for one night over Easter. The hotel looks a lot better from the outside than it actually is on the inside. It is a reasonable 3 star hotel but certainly not 4 star. The room was clean and well designed with a modern TV (although the sound was iffy) but the bathroom was poor (it had... more

My sister and i stayed here for 2 nights in March to visit a friend who lived around the corner. The hotel itslef is quite modern and clean, however the carpet had chewing gum on the floor which is a little off putting walking around in bare feet! Nice shower and bath, our room was cleaned with fresh towels so... more

Stayed in this hotel for one night. Chose the hotel due to location (town centre) and relatively inexpensive nightly rate. Upgraded to an executive room for €30. I was arriving late and had passed the hotel before spotting the small lane to the car park (no sign posting). It was a one way system so I had to drive around... more

Booked a suite for three nights for my Wife and I and clearly specified smoking. When we arrived we were informed that the suites were strictly non-smoking. We were offered a standard smoking room instead which turned out to be awful. The carpet was stained, the window was filthy and looked out to a wall and railing about 3 feet... more

Myself and my partner stayed there week ending 14th July. Our room was fine. no problem. Our room was over looking the car park. The hotel is situated in the centre of the town so therefore the area around it is limited. Our breakfast and evening dinner were nice plenty of choices. If I any complaint, it would be the... more

I stayed in Gallaghers with my boyfriend on a Saturday night in February. The hotel is beautiful but the noise from the adjoining night club made it impossible to sleep. When I complained the following morning the receptionist followed what seemed to be a well practiced routine and handed me a complaint card. There were two other couples also making... more

Stayed in this hotel recently. Only stay here if there is no alternative. The rooms are a decent size both a double and single bed, bathroom would benefit from a good makeover and or clean Breakfast to say the least was basic. A McDonald's lookalike! Bar was awful noisy and dirty. Overall the reception, bar and breakfast area had a unpleasant... more

Stayed in Gallaghers in jun '06 for a stag and never stopped raving about it to my wife on my return {I was so taken with the evening meal in the restaurant...the snazzy bedroom with flat screen TV not the usual huge 1980's TV!},so when the chance arose for a quick break it was first on my list. However it... more
