I stayed in the Lakeside Hotel Killaloe in County Clare for 2 nights. I had a wonderfull stay . I found the staff extremely welcoming and friendly at all times. The food was brillant. We dinned in resturant one day, and had bar food the following evening. I found the rooms very comfortable, and the views were great. I would definately... more

just back from Killaloe. This hotel is excellent for weddings - location etc... The pool is great. The staff are excellent. The rooms are terrible. They are old, filthy, falling apart and oh my God the beds..... you will need to visit your doctor with back problems after a nights sleep (if you get to sleep with the noise coming... more

We were a bit nervous about staying here, having read the reviews on Tripadvisor already! We did pay the extra and upgraded to a room with a view of the Loch and I believe that this was worth every penny. The double room was spacious and clean with fantastic views of the loch and mountains. Yes, the room was a... more

We have stayed here a few time with our 2 kids under 3 and would really recommend it.Large family room plenty of room for all our gear.Evening meal was good value and they made up a "baby bowl" for 6 month old. The pool is huge goes from very shallow to v. deep with a water slide. We will be... more

After reading the book Falling Angels by John Walsh, who said "it would be hard to find a prettier town than Killaloe" my husband and I decided to pay a visit on our touring holiday. Killaloe is indeed very pretty, a village on a hill sloping down to the beautiful arched bridge which takes you across to Balina. From Killaloe... more

Stayed here for one night. Horrible rainy night but the views would have been lovely otherwise. The girl is reception was lovely and booked us in no bother. Had dinner and have to say the irish girl working in the restaurant was terrible. Had to ask for them to take our order, napkins, water, bread, butter and lots more. Enjoyed... more

I booked this hotel in advance and when I arrived they told me they had no room available. They booked me into a dirty b and b. The staff were incompetent and there was no follow up to any complaint and there were many that day more

We have just returned from a fantastic two nights in this hotel. We have only good things to say about the whole experience. I could have just sat by our bedroom window and watched the boats go by - it was so relaxing. The garden is so peaceful and well kept. The Leisure Centre is well run and clean. The... more

When we got to the hotel we were surprised to be left waiting for an hour to check-in and absolutely astonished when we were asked for €4 after being served tea during our wait! However this mistake was quickly corrected. Grabbing our bags and heading up to the room we were also slightly peeved about the lack of a lift... more
