We were attending a wedding at the Slieve Russell hotel but wanted to stay in a b&b as it was cheaper. A family member recommended some local places to stay and we chose An Crannog as it was right next door to the hotel.

Joy, who runs the b&b is wonderful and she greeted us and showed us to our room. The room was great and very clean with a gorgeous view out to the countryside. The room was en-suite and I think there were also some rooms without a bathroom.

We stayed 2 nights and had breakfast each morning which was absolutely wonderful.

As we're from England and were over for a family wedding I don't know if I'll ever be back over in Cavan but if I did, this is the only place we would stay. Warm friendly welcome, great accommodation and a lovely breakfast. more
