Ashgrove House is a full-service B&B, close to Bunratty Castle and Limerick City, and a very short drive from Shannon Airport. The Famous Durty Nellie's Pub is right beside Bunratty Castle. This is a traditional county where music and culture abound. Bring your instrument and join in a seisiún with the local musicians playing fiddles, pipes, concertinas and accordions. Your room will be warm with good beds, tea and coffee making facilities, television, clock/radios, hairdryers, curling irons. A warm welcome awaits you, with maybe something to warm the cockles of your heart. We can also arrange a b&b reservation for your next stop. more » « less

We bookended our stay in Ireland with 2 nights at Ashgrove. Since we've never been to Ireland or a B&B before, Sheila had everything handled and taken care of. We were able to get right into our room and snooze for a few hours before going to the madrigal dinner performance at Bunratty (which Sheila booked for us by the... more

Ashgrove hous is a great place to stay if you are flying in or out of Shannon. It is less than 1/2 hour away. The Inkeeper, Shelia, is a real sweetheart. She will give you an Irish coffee after a long trip and lots of hints on what to see and do. Touring Bunratty Castle and Folk Village (just down... more

Sheila is an outstanding hostess and runs a truly special B&B. She did everything possible to make our brief stay in Bunratty comfortable and memorable. My friend and I spent only one night at Ashgrove House before an early departure from Shannon Airport, but it ended up being the nicest B&B on our entire tour of Ireland. The rooms were... more

This was our second stay with the Ashgrove House (we also stayed there in Oct 2005). This was my review on their website for 2005: "The Ashgrove House has the best hospitality in Ireland! My husband Josh and I had such a wonderful time. We enjoyed having an Irish coffee with Sheila and chatting so much. The room was very... more

We had a great stay - even without Sheila and Frank - they were on holiday!! Julie, their daughter, was great she really cared about us and our stay. Excellent rooms with their own external door leading out onto a courtyard - internal door into the dining room. Very clean and Irish. Really enjoyed the stay. Julie booked us a... more

We have just been to Bunratty in Ireland and had a wonderful four days there staying with Sheila and Frank at Ashgrove House. The welcome was warm, very warm actually as we had brought to our rooms Irish coffee on our arrival. Throughout our stay nothing was too much trouble and we were made to feel most welcome. The food... more

We just returned from a very enjoyable trip to Ireland. We started and concluded our visit with a stay with Sheila and Frank at Ashgrove House, which is located in a beautiful pastoral setting near Shannon Airport. I had read about the B & B on Trip Advisor and am happy to report that I agree with those who have... more

Lovely, comfortable B&B with direct room acess from outside. Convienent to Bunratty Castle, Limerick and Shannon Airport. Sheila and Frank are the greatest. They immediately made us feel like a part of their family. Spent time chatting with us and providing special refreshments. We will certianly return to Ashgrove House on our next visit to Ireland. more

Thought I should comment on the delightful stay that my friend and I had at the Ashgrove Guesthouse, Bunratty. Both Sheila and Frank are delightful and we were made to feel very welcome from the start, despite the fact that we were late arrivals which did not seem to be any problem at all (Our Ryanair plane landed at Shannon... more
