I recently vacationed in Ireland with my husband and our two adult sons. The highlight of our trip was playing golf at the famed Ballybunion Golf Course. Since the town is so small I wasn't expecting much in terms of luxurious accommodations. Boy was I surprised! The Cashen Course House is magnificent!!! It's located directly across a tiny lane from... more

This was our second trip to Ballybunion, and I was disappointed that our first choice guesthouse (Teach de Broc, where we'd stayed previously) was full. I didn't think TdB could be topped, but I was about to be pleasantly surprised. Cashen Course House is a large, sprawling detached house, with a great big driveway in front of it, separated only... more

We recently spent 3 nights at Cashen Course House. Among our party of 3 couples, there were 3 golfers (the men) and 3 non-golfers (the ladies). The location of this B&B is perfect for playing Ballybunion. The rooms and bathrooms were huge and clean. Our room (#9) had 2 beds (a large bed and a small bed), a leather sofa,... more

I chose Cashen Course House for its proximity to the golf course, and the fact that they offered a 'stay and play' package. The bedroom was large and clean with basic 'hotel-looking' furnishings. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was huge with a large jacuzzi tub, two sinks and a large separate shower. Our room overlooked a cow pasture... more

Part of a group of 8 guys who stayed 2 nights and played 2 rounds of golf at Ballybunion GC. The accomadations were great and located just accross from Ballybunion with the Clubhouse just a couple of minutes away. Each of our rooms had two beds and a full private bath. Breakfeast was huge and ready as early as needed... more

Sorry for writing it so late, but my husband and I just adored our stay at the Cashen Course House. We arrived just at check in to a spacious room with an incredibly large and beautiful bathroom. Our room was on the second floor, and we had a lovely view of the Cashen Course golf course across the street. It... more

The Cashen Course House was beautiful. We stayed for three days and loved every minute of it. The breakfast room and the sitting room were lovely. We loved our golf at the Ballybunion Old Course and found the tall grass lining the Cashen Course a little difficult. We will return and would want to stay at The Cashen Course House... more

Date: 6/26/05 Located across the street from the famous Ballybunnion Golf Course, the Cashion was a wonderful place to stay after a long days drive. The rooms were lovely, the beds comfortable and the pillows were the absolute best we had ever laid our heads on. The bathrooms were large and luxurious. Our host was wonderful and the dining room... more

Our group just stumbled upon the Cashen House in Ballybunion. But What a find! Great Rooms, Great Food, Great hospitality. Deidrie, our host even left breakfast out for us the last morning when we had to leave very early for the airport. The Golf at Ballybunion was fantastic and the experience was made even better by our stay at the... more
