This hotel is old and grubby and the staff are awful. On arrival I told the lady at reception that we would be paying her in cash, and she said that they would still take authorisation from my credit card, I told her that the funds were not on my card and I had the entire amount for the room... more

On arriving to the hotel I was very impressed with the grounds. When we entered the room it looked nice enough but after being there a while the cracks started to appear. The toilet flushed itself, the nob of the shower came off in my hand and all we could get was cold water and the headboard fell off the... more

I stayed in this hotel for 2 nights and had an evening meal as well. From the moment we drove up to the hotel, you could tell that it is disintigrating into a state of disrepair. The old push doors are still there and some of the decor have not been upgraded in 15 years or more. Having said that... more

We booked for 2 nights and only stayed one. The carpets were filthy, the walls were filthy, the blankets on the end of the bed were covered in questionable stains. The children staying in the hotel were free to run a muck around the hotel corridors till 5am while their 'parents' drank in the filthy bar. We only encountered one... more

Stayed here for one night with my husband on our first night in Ireland as part of our package. Everything was fine - they let us check in early. Room overlooked an ugly parking lot but we didn't come here to sit in our room, so we didn't care. The lighting in the bathroom was abominable but I found that... more

Just returned from a 3 night break in the Clare Inn Hotel, and all I can say is I won't be back in a hurry ! I concur with all the negative comments left about this hotel - and will add a few of my own ! Suppliments on everything .. € 4.00 per child to use the leisure area... more

Toilet in ensuite did not flush and leaked, given key to another room where beds were still unmade from previous guests, back to original room and guess what the receptionist was not interested and even less so the manager. Horrendous place,. more

I stayed in the Clare Inn during on of the school mid term breaks and it was very, very busy. We chose the hotel as a family friendly hotel i.e. good availability of family rooms, children's entertainment and pool. Firstly the good things about our stay 1. the room was very comfortable, spacious, good beds, clean but a little worst... more

Myself and my son went for Saturday night. There was a crowd of us meeting there. While I found the staff really nice and approachable, I wouldn't go back. Everything had a supplement, the children's club, the playhouse, even certain meals on the menu - 12.50 for a steak, 8.50 for a thai curry. I mean... 8.50 supplement on a... more

After reading the reviews i was a little concerned about our stay. My reservations were totally unfounded. We stayed in a two bedroomed bungalow which was very warm and spotlessly clean. We eat in the bar one night and had a nice meal at a very reasonable cost. The pool area was clean and very welcome to unwind in the... more
