This is a beautiful home, though a little more formal than I generally like. Our room was a very nice size and very attractive with a pretty view of the countryside. We were the only people staying there the night we were there, which was kind of odd, but nice. The only other person there was a young Polish man who worked there and was absolutely delightful. Needless to say, it was very quiet and we had all the privacy we could want. Anyone contemplating staying there should be warned that there are no keys to any of the rooms, which I found to be a little unsettling. However, since we were the only ones staying there, we were not too concerned about going into town for dinner. The grounds are very pretty and you can walk to Dromoland Castle, which is nice, but nothing special. The town of Newmarket on Fergus, is totally lacking in charm and not what I was hoping for.
