Meals were elegant and delicious! Room was beautiful. Staff was very attentive and fixed a few cosmetic problems in the room promptly. Very nice spa with promotional coupon. Golf course, I am told was excellent. Many nice villages and sites to see even if you are not a golfer. Exquisite walled garden. more

Staying in a castle isn't cheap. Or at least it should not be if you want the real deal. Dromoland is the real deal from top to bottom and the price concerns vanish as soon as you arrive at this estate. The rooms were quite large and modern, the decor was perfect, the guest services were spot on and the... more

From the moment you enter the main gates you realise Dromoland is going to be something extraordinary. The road sweeps you through the golf course which looked lush and immacculate. Then you see the crystal clear lake which dominates the landscape in front of the hotel and leisure center. Suddenly, you see what you came here for, a real authentic... more

I have seen at least 50-60 castles throughout Europe. I have seen great ones and not so great ones. But my experience in Ireland was a dream come true. > > My husband and I stayed in a tower that had 2 floors. The first floor was the living room with a devan, plush cushioned chairs, a love-seat couch, a... more

Ok so after reading some of the reviews..I wanted to give mine. We our on our honeymoon and this is the end of our trip. We are in our late 20's. This hotel is GEORGEOUS! When you pull in and see the castle around the bend you just get excited. I am a very clean and "neat freak" so if... more

My husband wanted the castle experience and with the ledgenday castles offer buy 2 nights get one free, this seemed like a good deal and I feel it was. The commenter about the mildew mold room is correct, I was shown to one of these rooms first, which by the way was a stateroom below grade which explains the mold/mildew... more

The castle and surrounding grounds are absolutely gorgeous. We were on our honeymoon so I had them upgrade us to stay in one of the tower rooms. Unfortunately this came at a price unlike at Ballyhahinch Castle which upgraded us to their nicest suite for no additional charge when they found out it was our honeymoon. Most of the staff... more

I don't know what these people with the negative reviews are talking about. I just stayed at Dromoland Castle less than a month ago & we thought it was amazing. The entire place was gorgeous, and everything so very clean. The service was great. I would definitely LOVE to stay again, only for a whole week next time. Everything was... more

Family of four just back from a three day break at Dromoland. This was our seventh visit (annual pilgrimage). Some old faces have moved on and their absence is notable, however as usual we came away wishing we could have stayed longer. The woodland in Spring with it's wonderful birdsong and carpet of bluebells is a tonic for the body... more
