A group of 21 girls stayed in 4 guest houses - Corran Maebh, Lahinch Co Clare, on the weekend of the 4th April 09.
The landlady was very difficult and wanted us to clean out the entire house despite having no cleaning products etc in the house. We only rented them for 2 nights and to be fair they were not untidy in the least. She said she was getting cleaners in but wanted us to clean it first! The final straw was her insistance that we paid €5 a head towards electricity. She actually came and read the meters. This was in addition to €45 a person for one night or €65 if you stayed 2 nights. So in my case I had to pay €50 to stay 1 night in a self catering guest house. I would have got a better deal in a B&B. more
