My Mother, two teenaged daughters, and I recently enjoyed our second stay at the Berry Lodge. The fatigue of a week's travel sightseeing from the east coast to the west coast of Ireland melted away as we were ushered into the sun room for tea and homemade scones. Owner Rita Meade joined us and we reminisced about our family visit... more

The room was average, the owner and staff where excellent and extremely helpfull. The big let down was the shower cubicle. The shower basin was covered in mold and the dirty water did not drain away fast enough. All the other guests where from the USA, they thought it was wonderfull and rustic with lots of Irish charm. more

The Berry Lodge is another fine example of an Irish B&B. The owner, Rita Meade, is the picture of Irish charm and hospitality. Her warm welcome and delicious food made our stay just so much more enjoyable. Our room and en suite bathroom were gorgeous (we overlooked a bucolic pasture and the Atlantic Ocean). The bed was very comfortable and... more

Stayed over the weekend. Rita, the host generally does not open this time of the year- but was gracious to open the place for us. A warm welcome awaited us- despite the fact that we were 1.5 hrs late. Breakfast and dinners were stupendous and imaginative as we are both vegetarians and very picky eaters. She really puts her efforts... more

Nice B&B, very friendly staff. This B&B is not in the town of Lehinch, but rather is located outside of the town of Milltown Malbay. Would not recommend you stay here if you want to be able to walk into town as it is too far; you can get a cab, however. It is about 20 minutes drive to the... more

We chose Berry Lodge due to a personal reference and Karen Brown's Ireland. Their experience was obviously different than ours. Our overall impression was that the restaurant comes first. The accommodations were adequate. The dinner was good but expensive. The noise from the restaurant was disturbing and lasted past 11:30 on Saturday night. We stayed two nights and did not... more

My husband and I stayed at Berry Lodge one night during a 2 week tour of Ireland. It was one of our favorites of the entire trip. We arrived and were greeted by Rita who had hot tea and fresh baked breads and scones for us in the sitting room. She showed us to our room upstairs, which was just... more

Stayed at the property one night. The whole establishment is warm and cozy and especially the bedroom. We were the only guests and were made to feel at home immediately by the owner. She made wonderful recommendations for dinner in the nearby town. We both slept very well and enjoyed the excellent breakfast. We would definitely stay again and would... more

Just returned from the Christmas cookery course weekend at Berry Lodge - the course is run over one day (the Saturday) but the package we got was for two nights. We ate at the house on Friday night and the food was delicious. Special mention to the homemade scones and jam we received upon arrival - fantastic. The room was... more

Rita is a gracious host and our stay here was quite nice. The Berry Lodge was formerly Rita's family home that was lovingly tranformed into a comfortable and welcoming inn. more
